Remember When You Were A Child And You Could Run, Run, Run Without Stopping?

Take two siblings–a nine-year-old boy, let’s say, and a fourteen-year-old girl.  Tuck them into the woods behind Rupit, in Catalunya, Spain.  Invite them to run.

Now watch them.

Remember when you could run like that?  With such singleminded abandon?

If you cannot, then study this boy and his sister, their joyful movments the perfect trigger for a capricious memory.

Now do you remember?

I do.

So cute! I love how she catches him at the end. What a sweet moment.

I have never ever been a runner, but my youngest will run or dance or skip everywhere! I am constantly amazed by her enthusiasm and her stamina both.

Karen, I took up running a couple of times, briefly. It never stuck. I’m a better walker, especially now that I really do have a reason to walk everywhere. What about you? What do you do when you’re not creating gingerbread villages with your kids?
