The other day in the Born district, we happened upon a wedding taking place inside the Basilica Santa Maria del Mare, a gorgeous–if smaller–cathedral in the heart of the district. My girls and I walked into the cathedral just as the wedding party was being directed out of it. Two beauties: a church, a bride.
Later, when we passed by again, we saw the steps . . . and gasped. Rose petals, everywhere.
I have to say: the bride looked radiant, but the steps looked like something out of a painting. The addition of color to stone. I don’t know; it does something to me.
What do you think?
